St Michael’s, Camberley is a Victorian Gothic church built of local Frimley stone and designed by Henry Woodyer. It originally consisted of a nave and chancel only, and its design reflects the architectural style typical of woodyer’s church work in the period. The building is Grade II listed and dates to 1848.

As the parish church in a growing area that became Camberley, St Michael’s would have been central to the Bracknells who had moved to the area, marking baptisms, marriages, and burials, and anchoring their social and spiritual connections to the community. The church’s records are largely kept at the Surrey History Centre in Woking, which means the Bracknells’ key events are recorded in Surrey parish archives.
